As for driving yourself, the average cost of a gallon of gasoline in San Diego is $3.88. That can quickly add up, especially if you have to fill your tank more than once a week.

Utilities

For your basic utilities, which include electricity, heating, water, and garbage, the average price in San Diego is around $150 per month. For Internet, costs are usually around $45 per month for high-speed cable access. Prepaid mobile phone costs in San Diego tend to average around 10 cents per minute, though this is without any discounts or plans.
